Jumps and Drops

Jumps & Drops course – Coached by Tom Dowie, Professional Mountain Biker, BMX rider and Coach.

How to jump and drop with a mountain bike is a useful technique to overcome obstacles or simply to have fun.

In our courses Tom will explain the difference between jumps and drops and coach you the techniques needed to jump and drop correctly focusing on the following:

• Correct body position
• Pumping
• Improving speed through jumps (energy management)
• Techniques on how to go low and high.
• Jumping different types of jumps.

Note: The session is aimed at learning to control the bike once the wheels leave the ground, if you are already clearing the table tops in Swinley, then consider visiting Tom at Chicksands. We do not use any of the Freeride area for these sessions.

Morning Session is a 3 hour public course for up to 5 riders £65 per rider (minimum of 3 riders required)

The afternoon will be Private Session which can either be a 1:1, Pair or get a small group of mates together (max 4).

  • 1:1 £80 for 2 hours
  • Pairs £140 for 2.5 hours
  • Group of up to 4 Riders £210 for 2.5 hours
