Mountain Bike Tuition Skills TrainingMountain Bike Tuition Skills Training-The Next Level

Challenge yourself!!

Let us at Mountain Bike Tuition help get your bike skills to the next level, boost your confidence and learn new techniques.

This course is for those who have already completed either the Forest Rider or Ladies Beginners course, OR who have already ventured out onto the smaller mountain bike singletracks, only to bump slowly over obstacles. Also those that have been riding mountain bikes for a while and don’t feel that they are improving.

We’ll start with a back to basics session, refreshing the Mountain Biking techniques covered in the Forest Rider and Ladies Beginners course, or correcting any bad biking habits you may have picked up along the way. The focus will then step up a gear to cover:

  • Bike set up.
  • Rider position, Control or attack position, and how to adapt this to the ever changing features on the trails
  • Understanding traction to get the grip you need
  • Cornering with ease.
  • Lifting the front wheel to cope with common trail obstacles such as roots or puddles
  • Small drops and bomb holes.
  • Gear selection for hill climbing

Price includes all instruction and permission to ride in Swinley Forest.

Please note our courses are structured for over 18s only. If you wish to book a mountain bike session for an under 18, please see our U18s Sessions here.

We are now only running private 1:1, pairs or small group sessions rather than run public courses as we have found this works better as we can be more flexible with dates.  We can tailor the syllabus of your private session to include topics covered by this course. CONTACT US FOR AVAILABLE DATES

Note: If you have a valid Gift Voucher for an All Day Course, please contact us, we will convert it to a private session for you.
